We currently deliver AQA GCSE Mathematics to the majority of our KS4 cohort and in addition, Edexcel GCSE Statistics to broaden our curriculum offer. The Mathematics Faculty is at the heart of the development of High Tunstall College of Science and is instrumental in securing future success. As a Faculty, we strive to maximise the ability of our students to master mathematic concepts to allow our students to be confident and effective mathematicians. As a College we devote a considerable amount of faculty time to developing and sharing good practice.
As Numeracy Lead you will play a significant role in leading the development of pedagogy within the Faculty and also be responsible for supporting the developments of the curriculum to meet the needs of our students across our broad curriculum offer. Engaging students in purposeful learning experiences is the key to outstanding progress and we are fully committed to preparing students to become fluent in using their numeracy skills as we prepare our learners for the transition into higher education and the rapidly evolving workforce of the future.
