Staff have membership access to the Geographical Association which informs individual research and development of curriculum, teaching and learning. Achievement in Geography is improving, and the post offers a superb opportunity for an energetic teacher with excellent skills to develop further within a positive and supportive environment. It is suitable for an ECT or a more experienced teacher.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the school at the start of its journey of improvement and so the successful candidate will be an individual who is determined and driven. Churchill Community College
Churchill Community College is an 11-18yrs comprehensive school in North Tyneside.
Churchill is very much a community school, and whilst the community we serve is enormously proud and supportive of the school, a significant proportion of our students come from low income or deprived households, with more than 40% of our cohort eligible for the Pupil Premium.
We aim to make all our young people feel completely safe, secure, valued and appreciative of the many opportunities their education here can afford them.
We set high standards in all areas and expect the very best from all members of our learning community. In return, we aim to provide excellent teaching and up-to-date curriculum provision with high quality pastoral care and an outstanding range of opportunities beyond the classroom for all learners. We believe these are the hallmarks of a truly successful school.
