The Directors and Governors of this highly successful Catholic Academy, a member of the Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust, wish to appoint a Caretaker.
We are looking to recruit a Caretaker to join our existing team of site staff and work under the direction of the Site Manager. Training will be given on site with the opportunity to attend external training as necessary. Pay will progress as training and experience is achieved.
We offer 32 days annual leave plus bank holidays, Occupational pension, sick pay and bike to work scheme.
Duties will include:
- General building maintenance and repairs
- Security of the school’s premises and grounds
- To undertake general portage duties
- To ensure that the premises are open for use as and when required in accordance with the needs of the Academy and securing the premises after use
- Responsibility for supervising outside agencies/contractors whilst on site
- Moving furniture and equipment around the school premises
- Bus bay duty on an afternoon when school finishes to ensure safety of the students
- Driving the school mini-bus when required
Working hours for the post to be confirmed, however flexibility regarding start and finish times is essential to allow for possible lettings or later finishing school activities.
