This role is fixed term to cover maternity leave until April 2025.
Benfield School is looking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and innovative Director of Additional Needs to fulfil a key strategic role within our school. This is a fantastic opportunity to undertake the statutory role of SENCO and desigated teacher for looked after children. We are looking for a colleague to lead on the design and shaping of our ambitious curriculum to ensure that the Benfield community has the highest of expectations for our young people. The successful candidate should be a confident leader and will line manage a large team of individuals who support SEND pupils accross the school and within our Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) to ensure our pupils with additional needs get the very best learning experiences.
Our school is one of seven primary and secondary schools within the NEAT Academy Trust family of schools.At the heart of our trust is the aim to nurture, educate, achieve and transform the lives of all young people within the communities we serve across the North East. We have a national research school, which aims to build and strengthen networks of schools throughout the region and help them access effective education research and implement it in everyday practice.
