Durham High School is a vibrant and highly successful independent girls day school. We are seeking a suitably qualified and enthusiastic, Learning Support Assistant (SEND) to support a Year 10 pupil (September) in Senior Department at Durham High School. Support may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching areas.
The SEND Department is led by the SENDCO and we have two LSAs attached to individual pupils.
The role is required 4 days per week (days negotiable) term time only., plus attendance at 5 INSET days.
Start date will be discussed at interview, but won’t be any later than 1 September 2024.
The role will be paid on DHS Support Staff Scale Point 24 which equates to £24398, pro rata.
Flexibility is very important as there may be changes due to the changing priorities of the EHCP. The hours and days of work will also change when the pupil’s timetable changes during the next academic year.
As this relates to support for an individual pupil, the position will terminate in and when the pupil leaves the school.
