Trinity Academy Newcastle Multi-Academy Trust is a growing Trust specialising in Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. Our Executive Leadership Team is dedicated to a one trust vision.
The successful post holder will support and assist teachers and other senior staff as part of a professional team in Trinity Post 16 Solutions Ltd, where we offer bespoke packages to young people aged 19-25 who have additional support needs. Learners who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities (LLDD) are provided with a study programme that equip them with the skills needed for adulthood. EHCP outcomes are at the heart of the programme to equip learners to: Live as independently as possible; prepare for employment and the world of work; become involved in social andcommunity activity; live a healthy lifestyle.
You will undertake a range of teaching and learning activities under the professional general guidance of a qualified teacher or senior staff member, in line with the school’s policies and procedures. Supervising allocated teaching and learning support staff you will have experience of working with children of a relevant age in a learning environment. The ability to plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons are essential. You should possess relevant skills or training in your subject field if applicable, the ability to assess student progress and provide constructive feedback, with training in relevant learning strategies and relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 2 or above).
It would be advantageous if you had a qualification in teaching or a related field and experience working with students with additional needs.
