Thank you for your interest in the post of trainee Teaching Assistant within Rise Carr College.
Our school is able to offer a unique opportunity to the right candidate who is looking to begin a career in the education sector by offering paid employment whilst working towards a Teaching Assistant qualification at Levels 2 or 3.
All training costs will be covered by the school in order for you to develop your skills and receive a nationally recognised qualification, whilst gaining on the job experience at the same time.
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, creative and inspiring individuals who are passionate about learning and committed to working with children with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs.
Applicants must be:

- Good standards of literacy and numeracy
- Committed to completing the required training and participating in ongoing CPD

Rise Carr College
A Local Authority maintained Pupil Referral Unit and Alternative Provision which serves the eight secondary schools in Darlington.
Eldon House
A SEN base for children with Education, Health and Care Plans with a primary need of Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties.
Connect
A project for children with Education, Health and Care Plans who are struggling to attend school through anxiety and emotional based school avoidance.
Home and Hospital Teaching Service,
A statutory service which aims to provide education to students who cannot access their mainstream school due to medical reasons

The Posts
The posts will be between 32-37 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8.30am start. Term time plus 5 staff training days
