We are seeking to appoint an experienced Lead Practitioner of English for Excelsior Academy. The core purpose of the Lead Practitioner of English role will be to support the quality of teaching and learning in the English Faculty. The post holder will also support with the development of teaching and learning across the school and in our feeder primary schools.
Your remit will be wide and challenging, our estate is varied and our standards are high. Creating environments in which staff can lead and inspire young people is the top priority and the quality of the work of you and your team will directly contribute to that.
The role of Lead Practitioner of English is a vital one for the school and the successful applicant will play a leading role in continuing to raise the already high standards of teaching and learning that exist in this subject area. In addition to this, as a Lead Practitioner in the school, the successful applicant will also have an important role to play in supporting whole school teaching and learning priorities and have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues in other subjects too. The role is well-suited to existing leaders who can demonstrate a strong track record in terms of the external outcomes of their own classes and also in supporting colleagues to develop their own classroom practice.
