We are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Educational Psychologist to build and lead a pro-active service across the trust. This is a unique opportunity to create a brand-new service that will transform the lives of neurodivergent young people and their families whilst influencing and informing future service provision.
We are keen to develop an in-house service to work with our schools and support pupils and students throughout their whole school career within the trust as per our ‘Cradle to Career’ philosophy. You will follow and support our young people at all stages of their journey from early years to preparation for adulthood and see the outcomes of your support and intervention first-hand.
Reporting directly to the Co-CEO who is also the Director of Education, we see this role as the foundation in creating our own cross-sector working teams who can combine expertise to swiftly and effectively support young people, eradicating waiting times and duplication. You will provide inspiration to key stakeholders across the trust by demonstrating our values of ambitious, brave, curious, determined by being good and fast to achieve extraordinary outcomes.
Working with key stakeholders across the trust you will build upon the work already taking place and promote the use of inclusive, evidence-based, practices to help children and young people overcome barriers to educational achievement; social and emotional well- being; and mental health.
We offer excellent benefits including 31 days holiday (plus public holidays), access to the Local Government Pension Scheme, discounted and free gym access as well as salary sacrifice schemes such as NHS car lease scheme and cycle to work scheme.
Background and experience will be considered when it comes to working out a final employment package with the successful candidate (and the role is not limited to term time only).
We are shortly introducing a number of employee wellbeing initiatives including a healthcare cash plan to support everyday healthcare costs, access to Perkbox (with a wide variety of discounts and freebies at a range of retailers), financial wellbeing tools and discounted travel schemes.
For this post we are able to offer support with relocation costs to the North East of England. In addition, we currently hold a Sponsorship License and would be able to sponsor a suitable candidate who currently may not have the right to work in the UK.
LST is a growing multi academy trust in the North East of England, serving children and families in the west of Newcastle, Sunderland and Sedgefield. We pride ourselves in being a progressive, inclusive trust that supports every child to develop their talents whatever they may be and to reach their academic potential. It is important that as a learning organisation we adapt and change to the needs of our pupils. We take care to value and develop all colleagues to make sure they can do their very best for children across the Trust’s schools.
With over 5,000 children, excellent resources and a drive for continuous improvement, LST is actively seeking staff who want to make a difference and be part of this exciting phase of our development.
