Monkwearmouth Academy is a secondary school in north Sunderland, the school is passionate about education and the values of Believe in yourself, Achieve the highest standards and Succeed in life.
We are seeking to appoint a qualified SENDCo to be the champion for our students with SEND. You will need to demonstrate a passion for inclusion to ensure that students reach their full potential in all aspects of their development. The post will play a pivotal role in the strategic development of SEND support within the school including providing professional advice and guidance in the areas of SEND in order to secure high quality teaching, and ensuring resources are used effectively to ensure improved standards of achievement and progress for all students. The SENDCo will also lead a team of learning support staff.
