We wish to appoint a Wraparound Manager from September to run our before and after school provision for children aged 3-11. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, enabling them to communicate effectively with children, SLT, parents and the wider community and the ability to work flexibly are all essential for the post. They must be committed to leading and managing the club, planning, being responsible for welfare and safeguarding procedures. They will be responsible for the club and all the children when all teaching staff have left the building. A willingness to contribute positively to our happy team and to become involved in the wider aspects of school life is also imperative.
The hours for this post are Mon-Thu, 3.15pm – 5.30pm & Fri, 3.15pm-4.30pm.
Candidates must be able to:
- Provide the children with a safe and secure environment
- Plan, organise and implement a programme of activities to meet the needs of this age group
- Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team
- Supervise the work of the After School Club Assistant(s).
- Respond to the practical needs of children where there is an identified special educational need
- Provide general care and welfare by responding appropriately to the social, emotional and physical needs of pupils.
- Assist in maintaining a healthy, safe and secure environment and act in accordance with the school’s policies and procedures.
You will need to:
- Hold a relevant qualification in childcare to at least Level 3
- You will have two years’ experience of working with children in a childcare or similar setting (ideally as a level 3 session leader).
- Have proven leadership organisational skills

Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust, formerly The Trinity Catholic Multi Academy Trust was set up on 1 February 2012. Cardinal Hume Catholic School, Gateshead was the first school in the trust.
Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust, is currently a family of 5 secondary schools and 21 primary schools from across Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham and Northumberland, in the west of the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle. The Trust is expanding rapidly and will reach a total of 48 schools by Summer 2022.
