We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and inspirational teacher of History to join our successful Humanities department. We require a teacher who can deliver History across KS3 to KS5.
The successful candidate will be:
- An excellent practitioner with a passion for History.
- Committed to the highest standard of achievement for all students.
- Able to adapt and respond to student learning needs.
- An outstanding communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- An enthusiastic team-player, self-motivated and committed to further professional development.
You would be joining a highly professional team made up of staff who are completely dedicated to ensuring students make the best progress possible. We have a solid belief in the importance of Humanities subjects which can enable us to meet our Core Purpose as a college and always go the extra mile to support students.
History is part of a wider department which also includes Geography and Sociology where staff teach largely within their specialism at KS3 and always within specialism at KS4 and KS5. Where staff teach outside of specialism at KS3, there is a strong system of support in place which ensures planning and resources are available to enable the highest quality lessons to be delivered.
History is a very popular option at both Key Stage 4 and 5, reflecting the enjoyment and interest students gain from our lessons.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our school and work alongside an incredible group of staff and a highly supportive governing body who will always go the extra mile for our students. This post would be suitable for an experienced practitioner wishing to make a change and join a new team, or a newly qualified teacher ready to begin an exciting journey at our school
A completed application form, criminal records declaration form and equalities monitoring form must be submitted by 9am on Monday 24th April to: heather.bell@churchillcc.org. Please note that we do not accept CVs. The interviews will take place week commencing 1st May 2023.
Please contact Kay Gray, Curriculum Leader, at kay-marie.gray@churchillcc.org if you have any queries about the post.
Churchill Community College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
